Free iPod Earbuds Replacement from Apple

My 20GB (4G Clickwheel) iPod is about five months old. The left earbud started getting staticky this past weekend so I gave 800-APL-CARE a call today to request a replacement set. The support person wouldn’t offer help over the phone because I as outside the 90 day telephone support period, but she was nice enough to tell me I could visit the iPod Warranty and Repairs web site and get a free replacement set of iPod earbuds there.

All it took was to enter my iPod serial number and select the type of problem I was experiencing.

I’m not terribly happy with the earbuds which come with the iPod. I’m looking for good suggestions for a replacement, either earbuds or headphones or anything in between. Tell me what you like in the comments for this post.
