NetFlix DVD Rental Sucks

In a Blog post entitled "NetFlix Sucks", Alex writes:

Netflix doesn’t like you if you’re trying to rent more than 3 movies a week. They might oblige you with a 4th one coming during the given week on a 3-disc-at-a-time plan, but as soon as you prove to be a fast movie watcher, you’re on their blacklist for constant shipping problems, "Shipping Tomorrow" messages, and the discs being reported as not received.


In his post and some comments posted by other NetFlix subscribers, all manner of excuses are being given to NetFlix subscribers as to why their movies are being delayed. One example from a subscriber was, "Netflix’s new tactic according to customer service is the dvds must be cleaned therefore they are delayed one day so they won’t be shipped out the same day received"

This is exactly the behavior I was seeing last year when I decided to drop NetFlix after three or four months trying it. I was watching and returning movies usually the same or next day after receiving them, and I started to notice that it took longer for NetFlix to indicate my movie had been returned, and longer to send the next one out.
